BANG the Skillet is een achtkoppige ska-band uit Delft. De band wilde ‘een lekker rafelig clippie’ waarin de live-sfeer en het ska-gevoel van de band goed werd vastgelegd. Dat is gelukt!
Zonder budget, maar mèt een door de band zelf geschreven scenario gingen we aan de slag.

BANG the Skillet was set back to reality by the director of the video, Marc Brak. He had to make all the wishes come true within a limited time and with hardly any budget. So the script was brought back to a manageable size, the location brought back to only one and the number of shooting days brought back to two. It's amazing what can be done with so little resources. Cameras were lent as well as lighting equipment. The shooting location was in Jaap Smit's unused shed behind his house in Delft. Simple furniture and small props were brought in to dress the set. It was freezing cold during the two days of shooting, but the excellent catering by Ingrid and Max and of course the enthousiasm of everyone involved made it a success.
While shooting weird ideas came up spontaniously, like Brian and Don playing poker on the double bass and Bing sniffing coke from his floortom. These little gags help to keep the video surprising till the end. Finally Marc Brak had to do a lot of work on the post production. Two days of footage had to be edited back into a nearly six minute long fast moving video.
Marc succeeded and made it to a good end. The video looks very slick, showing BANG the Skillet as they are. Playing the oldskool SKA! with a modern hiptwist, the sound and the looks perfectly in place ...
